Easy Sausage Manicotti

1 package uncooked manicotti shells (I used Barilla – 14 of them) I haven’t found gluten free manicotti shells anywhere yet.+
2 lb. hot italian sausage
1 jar marinara sauce
1 c. water
1/4 c. red wine (or marsala)
Optional add ins:
Mushrooms
Garlic
Italian Seasoning
Onions

Pour 1 c. sauce in the bottom of a 13 x 9 baking dish. Preheat oven to 350.

Stuff sausage into uncooked shells.

Top with any remaining sausage broken into small pieces

Mix remainder of jar with approximately 1 c. water, wine, and whatever add ins you want. Shake and pour over manicotti.

Cover dish with foil and bake 1 hour 20 minutes. Remove foil.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Return to oven 10 minutes until melted.
